Trash Talk

Respect boundaries: Avoid personal attacks or bringing up sensitive topics such as race, religion, politics and gender. Stick to the game competition itself.

Focus on the game: Keep the trash talk related to the competition or performance. Criticize skills, strategies, or decisions, but avoid attacking someone's character or making derogatory remarks.

Maintain sportsmanship: Remember that the goal is to have fun and challenge each other, not to belittle or demean others.

Avoid excessive profanity: Excessive or offensive language can escalate tensions and create a hostile environment.

Know your audience: Be mindful of the people around you and the context in which you are engaging in trash talk. Different settings may have different expectations and tolerances. Adjust your approach accordingly.

Accept retaliation: Trash talk often invites retaliation from opponents. Be prepared to receive responses and handle them with grace. Don't escalate the situation further or take it personally. We won’t save your hurt feelings!
